Ranra - Ismail and Junaid Official Music Video [HD]

If you have read my Profile; the 'music' section is left vague. "Music that transports me". I honestly do not have a favourite style, every song posted here means something personal. Putting it into words always seems ridiculous.
Recently, I have been taking musical trips to Pakistan. The video I'm posting here is from a young band, Ismail and Junaid.
A friend once mentioned how music can draw you to places. It is heartfelt and she has followed her heart several times. I have never been to Pakistan myself, and probably won't for a long time. Play the music and I yearn to go. Sometimes I'm already there.
The video itself is stunning. Enjoy.

... With Love...

The Dresden Dolls- Ultima Esperenza

*fingers crossed* I will be seeing them in 2 weeks; in the wonderful but yet to be visited Forum Theatre in Melbourne.
From the time 'Girl Anachronism' was released, I fell in love with their over the top theatrics. The name, The Dresden Dolls, is deliberate... I listen to it and think of the Weimar Republic and Cabaret.

And this is a FAN video, haven't you done that? Put on the headphones or grabbed the hairbrush and for that one moment, You are the performer. She got appropriately positive feedback.

Dear Darlin' - Mojo Juju & the Snake Oil Merchants

I love Banjos... they have a humid sound; sticky, hot and gritty. Melbourne band 'Mojo Juju and the Snake Oil Merchants'. Thanks to a colleague for directing me toward them.

Convalescing

Thing I discovered about smart phones: it is another crochet tool.
I always carry my crochet around and often have to rely on photocopied patterns to cart around. Which in turn get torn, get used as shopping lists and accidentally thrown away, get lost or folded so often, that a key instruction becomes illegible from the creasing...I'm a bit funny about wasting loads of paper on things I end up losing. Now I bookmark the pattern on the phone.
Or I have to take an extra bag because one of the million and one crochet pattern books has a stitch I want to practice. I can read crochet patterns in symbols so I merely photograph the stitch pattern and store it on the phone.
Then I discovered a delightful thing about it. Because you can also store Podcasts, I can listen to my favourite radio shows and crochet in the sunshine if I arrive too early at work. Or am catching a train. Or waiting in general.
I still find reading on the phones difficult but that is perfectly fine by me. I stash a real book in my bag too.

The portable thing is a bit irrelevant at the moment because I am laid up in bed with an illness. Which would kind of suck but it doesn't actually. My days off are truly time off. So am listening to AM radio Holiday programs, crocheting and typing at you. Oh and am thinking about Spiders.

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and May 2012 bring You all the Blessings in the World.
